AJKCA condoles demise of former chess association president


​Express sympathy with the bereaved family​

Srinagar, Jul 17: All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association has condoled the demise of Mohammad Ashraf Shah, the ex-president of the association.

A spokesperson of the association in a statement to KNS said a condolence meeting was held by AJKCA at its office in Srinagar on Monday under the chairmanship of senior vice president, in which all office bearers and voters of state chess association participated.

They expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad and untimely demise of Mohammad Ashraf Shah, who served as J&K State Chess Association president from 1995 and was then twice elected as president of State Chess Association from 1999 to 2005.

“All office bearers and voters prayed to God for blessing the family with courage and patience and departed soul with Janat-ul-Firdous,” the statement added. (KNS)
