Dhaka claims 3,000 Rohingyas have been killed by Myanmar security forces

The minister of foreign affairs spoke to foreign representatives to Bangladesh on Sunday afternoon

At least 3,000 Rohingyas may already have been killed in Myanmar’s Rakhine State– more than six times the government’s total — by the country’s security forces, Bangladesh Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said on Sunday, urging international community to intensify efforts to support Rohingya rehabilitation.
Apostolic Nuncio to Bangladesh (representative of Vatican to Bangladesh) George Kocherry made the revelation to reporters while emerging from a briefing at the Foreign Ministry’s secretariat office.
The minister briefed the Dhaka-based diplomats about the Bangladesh administration’s efforts to assist the Rohingyas.
